Duterte says he discovers wearing the local shirt "cliché" and would rather don something more agreeable.
"I don't care for barong. I don't care for American (suit). Possibly I'll wear a kimono," Duterte said jokingly amid a public interview here on Saturday night. "You know why? All of my companions who passed on wore barong (at their burial service)."
Duterte, who wore a white shirt and dark jeans when he confronted the media, is additionally not slanted to employ an individual beautician.
"I would prefer not to change my life since I'm president. It's so cliché. You take me for what I am," he said.
Prior, Duterte's move group said he favored his supposition customs to be basic.
