DAVAO CITY, Philippines – "No press cons, no errors."
President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will never again be holding question and answer sessions, his long-term helper Christopher Go told columnists in a chance meeting Friday evening, June 3.
Duterte will rather course his messages through the state possessed PTV-4.
"Sa ngayon walang press con para walang mali," said Go. (For the present, no more question and answer sessions so there is less space for slip-ups.)
"Iko-course through niya through state-claimed stations 'yung public statements, 'yung mga interviews," he included. (He will course official statements and meetings through state-claimed stations.)
Duterte has been under flame as of late on account of proclamations made the previous few days. In one public interview, Duterte said a few columnists who were slaughtered requested it since they were degenerate.
The Davao mayor later illuminated that announcement, grouping columnists into 3 classifications: the fair, the "PR" persons, and the "vultures." It's the vultures who are murdered due to their degenerate ways, the President-elect said,
In the same public interview, Duterte whistled a female writer on cam. He was generally reprimanded for the demonstration, which conflicts with his own city's law against lewd behavior.
Duterte would later go ahead to say what shrieking was not a type of inappropriate behavior.
The Davao chairman, who established his battle on the guarantee of "progress," will take his pledge of office on June 30 yet.
